This just in: 96 students at San Diego State arrested on drug-related charges

May 6, 2008 |  9:55 am

That's what the DA's office in San Diego is saying, according the the Associated Press. Police seized drugs, guns and cash from both buyers and sellers in a bust that stemmed from a five-month undercover operation. The 96 arrests include fraternity members, prosecutors say. Defendants are scheduled to appear in state court to face charges Tuesday afternoon.

Full story to come.

College students taking drugs? I am shocked!

Excellent use of the DA's office and the SD police dept. manpower. Now that all the burglaries, rapes, gang murders and floods of illegal immigrants problems have been solved why not go after the students getting high to relieve the tension of being in school. I am sure they were force feeding the drugs to unwitting students.

I am completely ashamed of the few members of my fraternity that were involved in that in this incident. I am an inactive member of Theta Chi at San Diego State University and hearing that my house was named in this drug ring I am outraged. This is a travesty, and it undermines everything that we have worked for. I do not feel bad or sorry for the people who were arrested, but I am sorry for the other active members of the house who did not condone this, but will still be facing sanctions from the university and our national headquaters. Also there were many other houses involved in this incident but for some reason only Theta Chi is named.

Oh well, just like the streets of LA......
