Time for restaurants in the OC to earn their ABCs

May 8, 2008 |  2:22 pm

Think you know what you're getting when you go out to eat in the OC? Think again. Unlike the big blue letters taped to the front of eateries all over L.A., which help diners know who's been naughty in the kitchen and who's playing nice, Orange County's notification system is, well, almost nonexistent. Now, thanks to a grand jury that slapped the current rating system with a big, fat "F," something a bit more transparent is on its way. (And so is a Times story about the whole brouhaha.)
