Do this today: Stagecoach

May 3, 2008 | 10:00 am

Good morning, readers.

Last weekend's Coachella coverage and photo galleries (see them here) were besieged so heavily by our users that our heads were whirling like Mojave dust devils -- and proved to us that latimes.com visitors do love their rock.

But we do know you enjoy your country music too. Which is why we're also all over Stagecoach like a soaked Stetson or a pair of damp chaps, or, you know. Something like that.

The so-called "country Coachella" features a toned-down, family-friendly music festival featuring loads of country's top names -- today's set list includes Taylor Swift, The Judds, Dwight Yoakam and the legendary Earl Scruggs. Full coverage here.

Of course, we love jazz too. The Guide has the details on Django Fest in Laguna Beach, a celebration of genius guitarist Django Reinhardt's utterly unique, spirited and lightning-fast stylings from the '30s and '40s. The "jazz hot" will start swinging at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts Forum Theatre, 3 p.m.
