Burbank bakery packs in the customers, and the parking lot
When you head to Porto's Bakery in Burbank, better bring an appetite and your own parking space. The Magnolia Park branch of the Cuban bakery has proved so popular that it has triggered a parking shortage, complaints from nearby businesses and even prompted Porto's to hire a guard to keep order in the lot, reports the Burbank Leader and Eater LA.
“I’ve seen fights, people arguing, people yelling. It can get pretty crazy,” said Mounier Miss, the security guard who has patrolled the lot at Porto’s for the last five months. “On the weekends, people sometimes wait for 45 minutes to an hour [for a space.] Some people leave and others stay.”
In Southern California, where a full parking lot is usually a sign of business success, similar complaints have been heard regarding In-N-Out burgers, Pinkberry yogurt and Trader Joe's. Of course, after one of Porto's guava and cheese strudels, it might be a good idea to leave the car at home and walk off those calories.

When I clicked on the Store's site to "get directions," it says it's Brand Ave, in Glendale, not Burbank. Mistaken city or other location here?

Porto's customers may not have enough parking, but they're lucky enough to have a branch in both Burbank AND Glendale.
