Salinas may be a "romantic" but she had no love for the Inland Empire
Yes, Mirthala Salinas had an affair with Antonio Villaraigosa. And yes, the former Spanish-language TV news anchor was dating the Los Angeles mayor when she reported on Villaraigosa's breakup with his wife, raising questions about her journalistic ethics. But there are some things that Salinas will apparently never, ever do. Like work in Riverside.
That was a county line the Valley resident refused to cross when her Telemundo bosses reassigned her to their Inland Empire bureau in the wake of the Villaraigosa scandal.
“It was a matter of dignity,” she told Los Angeles Magazine. “They wanted me to go to Riverside. I wasn’t going to Riverside.”
She quit instead. But really, would you rather have dignity or the opportunity to shop at Ontario Mills?

I would have quit.

I don't blame her, I wouldn't have wanted to go to Riverside either.

And just who does this "person" think she is? Someone special? The Latinos of the Inland Empire must really be proud of her attitude...................looking down her nose at those who live here. I think it would behoove her to move out of California. She obviously has no ethics so why would those who hire her ever value what she has to say (or trust it).

Wow, this is pretty funny.
So what Salinas is saying is that she doesn't mind becoming the "other woman", destroying a family, having her intimate life splashed all over the media, ruin her career and many others, and then have millions of people believe she is a woman of low morals, but Gawd don't make her move to Riverside!!! THAT would be the ultimate insult!
I wonder what the residents of Riverside have to say about that?

Thank goodness we can finally file this in the "who cares" bin. This is from when Antohio was the rising star of American Latino politicians - now, he's the laughingstock of Lou Dobbs Tonight and elsewhere around the country, for fighting the ICE laws that the vast majority of the population demands to be enforced. This came out, via his letter of March 27, right after his "minon" that babbling dimwit Ed Reyes, parroted the views of the Hisanics who control L A politics: we can't catch illegal gangbangers however often they're in and out of jail, because our cops aren't allowed to ask their illegal status, because doing so would be "divisive" since the illegals are so woven into the fabric of our economy.
Lou Dobbs keeps making mincemeat out of these fools night after night, second night in a row now, since their (including Chief Bratton's) callousness was made clear in how they treated the family of Jamiel Shaw, Jr., who SHOULD be alive to today if ICE laws weren't actively circumvented. For Chief Bratton to say that SP40 and the city's pro-sanctuary city policy had nothing to do with Shaw's murder, that that was just a matter of poor timing on his part, is disgraceful.
No one cares about Mirthala anymore, thankfully, because the Mayor's pandering to illegals has shot down his political star.
