Sheriff's officials arrested Oscar Medrano Jr., 47, at his Gardena jewelry store this morning on suspicion of lewd acts against a child under 14 years. Jean-Paul Renaud has the details. The Daily Breeze is reporting that Medrano, citing health reasons, announced his resignation from the council on Tuesday in a letter to fellow members.
