So, what are you doing after the flight?
Most conversations between airplane passengers are limited to something like, "Excuse me. You are in my seat." But on Virgin America, fliers are apparently communicating on a more intimate level.
An in-flight service that allows Virgin America passengers to text message fellow seat mates has lead to some romantic relationships (or at least the promise of one). Spokeswoman Abby Lunardini said that many people have "met their significant others" through in-flight chats, which are displayed on monitors installed on seat-backs.
There was no in-flight love connection for magazine editor Eric Nakumura, who blogged about his Virgin America flight from Los Angeles to San Francisco. "No I didn't chat with anyone. I thought it was too odd."
But Lunardini said she was on a recent flight to the Bay Area when one male passenger participating in all-plane chat room said he was looking for a date to join him on a weekend wedding to Napa.
"A couple people responded jokingly and then someone said her friend sitting next to her was game. They met in the back galley of the plane and seemed like they agreed to it and hit it off.."
A few more of these hook ups like that and they might want to consider renaming the airline.

I wonder if this "Virgin" flight will count toward frequent (mile-high) flyer points?? hahaha...
