Pizza! Pizza!
Some of the best pizza in America is right here in our own city, according to Forbes. And no, they haven't suddenly discovered Casa Bianca, the pride of Eagle Rock, Abbot's Pizza in Venice, Antica Pizzeria in Marina del Rey, or even Paoli's in Woodland Hills.
The best pizza in L.A. is (drumroll -- or yawn -- depending on your point of view) at Mozza. Which is fine, if you can manage a reservation.
I'm on hold right now -- caller No. 2, an automated voice just told me -- 10 minutes into listening to canned rock music and a robo-voice with a British accent thanking me for being so patient.
So, when's the next possible reservation for a party of four at 6 or 7 or 8pm? Not until April.

I've only been to Casa Bianca with regards to the establishments that you mentioned. However, I would have to say the best pizza that I've tasted is at Petrillo's in San Gabriel. This restaurant has been family-owned and operated since 1955. They have a restaurant that has traditional Italian dishes like chicken parmesan and spaghetti, but their specialty is pizza, which can also be purchased from their take-out counter. It's quietly nestled among the many Asian establishments on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel, but there is no shortage of customers. I strongly recommend that you try it. You will not be disappointed.

Use to live in L.A., love Casa Bianca, however, Mozza by far makes the best pizza! Flew in from Florida, went to Mozza for lunch without reservations (needed to stand in line a few minutes before the doors opened at noon), but we were able to get seated. Food was a little pricey, but well worth it! Good food all around. Nancy Silverton has struck gold with her pizza and continued talents in the culinary biz! I'll give credit to Batali too since he's the co-owner.

That pizza looks delicious. Are located in other states or cities?
