Rough weather for O.C. Great Balloon
A balloon thrill ride in the O.C. is under investigation for allegedly flying in high winds, low visibility and — hey, it's a thrill ride — thunderstorms.
The city of Irvine isn't laughing, though. The alleged "cavalier disregard" for FAA rules by the owner of the Orange County Great Park prompted the city to promise to hire an investigator to check things out. The FAA is also going to sneak a peek.
No word whether these inquiries will take place aloft or safely on terra firma.

Meanwhile, Agran funnels Great Park contracts to political cronies.
