Self-help guru James Arthur Ray lists Beverly Hills house
Motivational speaker and author James Arthur Ray, the subject of the L.A. Times article "Sweat lodge deaths a new test for self-help guru," has put his Beverly Hills home on the market for $5,495,000. From the report last month:
Three people collapsed in a sweat lodge during one of his $9,695-a-person "Spiritual Warrior" retreats outside Sedona, Ariz., and later died. The sheriff considers it a homicide investigation; no one has been charged.
Ray originally bought the 7,234-square-foot contemporary Mediterranean for $4 million in March, according to public records. Purchase details were reported in Hot Property.

He'll need more than "self help" here.
Maybe he's put in some "sweat equity", pun intended.
More like a 1.5mil loss I'd say.

I'll give him $9,695 for the house. I figure if that's what people think their life is worth, a house can't cost much more, can it?

I wonder if this house is on the Hollywood tour. I'd like to see contemporary Mediterranean. Not tacky like Hawaiian Mediterranean I bet.
Where do you suppose he can go now that will make him happy? Do you think he's suffering yet? Not many think so but I know something must get under his skin. Or he really is the d'evil!

Does the home come equipped with a sauna and a steam shower?
Just asking.

Glad to hear James Ray is selling his house. I hope this means his little sheeple aren't following him as blindly as they were before the 3 Sweat Lodge Homicides and that he's finally running out of at least some of his Millions. People really need to wake up and realize that all James Ray is selling is tired est Standard Training ideas from the 1970's. Lame & dangerous; what a combo.

In the 'real' native ceremony there should never have been more than 15 - 18 people in the sweat lodge. What was he thinking? $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ would be my best guess!

I believe he is selling because he wants to protect himself from having liens being placed on his property after the families of the three who died successfully sue him. I also trust that the others who endured the "sweat lodge" and have been forever traumatized will also file law suits so that he will never do such an insane thing again. He is a dangerous and greedy man and a threat to all of those who believe that anyone can lead them to salvation. It is time for all to remember these truths: We are the power in our world. We are the guru we have been waiting for. We have all of the answers within and all any other person can do is help us remember these things.
