Hot Property: Producer Jon Peters sells Beverly Hills-area site for $12 million
Film producer Jon Peters ("Superman Returns," "Batman Returns") has sold a 6.5-acre residential lot in the Beverly Hills Post Office area for $12 million.
The site of the former estate of director King Vidor included house plans by architect Richard Landry. A 14-car underground garage and office are already on the three-parcel property, which sits behind gates. There are city and ocean views.
Peters sold to move to his ranch outside Santa Barbara.
The property came on the market in March at $19,995,000 with Jeffrey Hyland, Brooke Kaufman and Chad Rogers of Hilton & Hyland, Beverly Hills, sharing the listing.

Thoughts? Comments?

Why are these celebrity listings still included on this blog? Is it an editorial mandate? Do they increase traffic? There are so few comments on these, other than disdain, that I doubt that is the reason. Meanwhile, earlier this week CNBC reported a record plunge in rents, and I am still waiting to see the L.A. Times cover that story, which is actually relevant to this blog.
People, please.

Why don't you look up the transaction history for these parcels, so readers can see how prices have changed over time. Of course, it would be extra work, but it add a lot of value for readers.

I think the destruction of King Vidor's estate, designed by Wallace Neff, was a tragedy.
What a shame to scrape an architectural treasure off that hilltop!
This was just as bad as the destruction of The Enchanted Hill estate (also a Neff design) and Falcon Lair.
Will it ever end?
