TV actress Pamela Bowen, who is also the former wife of Kiss frontman Paul Stanley, has listed her Bel-Air home at $5,495,000.

The five-bedroom, 5 1/2-bathroom traditional house, with 4,307 square feet of living space, sits on a knoll, according to the Multiple Listing Service. It has a swimming pool, a guesthouse and 180-degree views extending from downtown to the Pacific.

The gated house was built in 1952. Public records show Bowen bought the property in 2003 for $2,435,000.

Recession/Depression what Recession/Depression? Grossing $3m to sit in a 4370sf house in LA, for 6 years sounds like California dreaming'.

More proof that drugs are still common in Hollywood (music & acting).

Is she not reading the papers? Dorothy, you're not in Kansas anymore.

Has no one told this seller that the housing market has been in an unprecedented tailspin in the past several years? The Case-Schiller curve predicts that the value of this house is about $2.663 million. That's about a 10% ROI, not bad by any standard, but expectations about LA housing are so unreasonable that this seller apparently thinks she's entitled to double her money in the midst of a devastating recession.

Oh well--sellers are free to ask whatever they want for their houses, however inflated or fanciful.

GROTESQUE asking price. We're already back to 2003, maybe 2002 prices, so she would be lucky to get what she originally paid for it.

What is she smoking? And to whomever buys this property at that price: What are you smoking?

Look at that beautiful view of the smog. Now who wouldn't want to pay 5.5 million for a view of the smog?

It looks like she may not have lived there but was renting the place out, per this Assignment of Rents filing from 2007.
