Hot Property: Leonardo DiCaprio sells home in Malibu that was listed at $7,999,000

DiCapriohouse

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio has sold a bluff-top contemporary in Malibu that had been listed at $7,999,000. The sales price was not disclosed on the Multiple Listing Service.

The main house has two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 2,374 square feet. DiCaprio put the property on the market in mid-November with listing agents Katie Bentzen and Sarah Kosasky of Bentzen Levin Real Estate, Malibu.

Public records show he purchased the house for $6.35 million in 2007. It could be months before it's known what the sales price was on this.

The fact that 6 of 7 of the comments in the last Hot Property were related to Jake and his daft posts shows just how devoid of content these Hot Property posts really are.

So (set sarcasm to full) thanks again for posting yet another Hot Property!

As for the Jake posts, they've become a parody of themselves, so I only hope they were intended as satire or irony to begin with, in which case the joke is on us. If not, then...erm...wow....

Being on a blufftop is the best place to be in Malibu! And with beach access too, how can you beat that! We are so lucky to live in SoCal with the stars! Of course the large separate guest house is a great benefit for visitors too! Thanks for posting this beauty!

Jake

I'm certain that 'Jake' is snarking on the whole 'Hot property' threads. It's impossible that anyone could be THAT delusional. Not even the most ding~batty~est of Real Estate agents could be that dense.

Jake is like "Lefty" who was calling bottoms and urging people to buy in 2007.

Somebody bring back Peter Viles.

No offense, Lauren Beale, but longtime readers of this blog remember insightful posts about the lack of affordability in the Southland. Why aren't there more stories about renters (like me) facing possible eviction because they're living in a foreclosed home? Underwater homeowners committing arson to collect insurance money, there's some Hot Property.

If Jake is sincere, he is living in fantasy land. Anyone who thinks that we are "luckly" to live with Hollywood types is delusional. They couldn't care less about you Jake, unless you are washing or parking their cars.... for which they will give you $2 tip. Get a life and get a clue. I am always amazed why people (like Jake) idolize people in Hollywood. Is it that they hate their own lives and have to fantasize to escape? I have no idea.

Or these stupid celebrity postings are just propaganda to show high priced LA homes to try to make people think that it is expensive here and that prices are going up.

All of you who are critizing Lauren for her hot property post can protest by just not commenting at all, she's the one with the audience.

And Jake, what a time he must be having with some of you,its obvious he's just kinding, no one can be that serious to believe that its our....or is it your pleasure to live amounst the celebs, man I'm so glad I'm out of there.

In Iran they're rioting because they're outaged at the corruption of their election, in LA they riot because they're happy that the Lakers are NBA Champs.

typo, Just kidding

Enough with the postings about the botoxed meat puppet house sales !!! That belongs in "Hot Property" , not here in LA Land.

I agree- bring back Pete Viles.

Keep up the celebrity postings. One of the best things on this blog are the bitter people complaining about the celebrity homes. I can't say I understand why some folks get so bent out of shape about these postings, but it provides me plenty of amusement.
