The Bushes as home buyers

December 4, 2008 |  9:58 pm

The Bushes are new home buyers, in case you missed Andrew Malcolm's report over at The Times' Top of the Ticket Blog:

George W. and Laura W. Bush have bought an 8,000-square-foot home on a quiet (what other kinds are there?) cul-de-sac in the swanky north Dallas neighborhood of Preston Hollow, named for a leafy local hollow and someone named Preston whose moniker went on a local road a long time ago.

Anyway, Preston Hollow, which voted to join Dallas in 1945, has some run-down shanties that go for $800,000, but most are in the seven-figure range, some well up in the eight figures. Some of the wealthiest people in Texas live there. Because of a permanent Secret Service presence -- probably in an adjacent house -- annoying break-ins will be even less likely after Jan. 20.

Word of the purchase was confirmed today by a White House spokesman after everyone poo-poohed a September Cindy Adams gossip report on the impending purchase in the New York Post.

Maps to the Bushes' new home are already being marketed online. "The county appraises the house at nearly $2.1 million, but the home sold for considerably more," reported the Dallas Morning News.

I know the perfect house for Bush. It is called Leavenworth, but it is not located in Texas. If Bush needs more security they can always refurbish Alcatraz for him.If it was good enough for Al Capone it is good enough for W.

Another post presidency job for Bush. Five years cleaning up Galveston Island and then New Orleans. If the Big 3 goes bust then he can always bike from Dallas to Galveston.

This is how we know this blog has hit bottom be featuring these iliterate Texas idiots who most of America hates. Who cares what these rubes are buying in hick city, when does it soak in the earlier these ah's leave the scene the better, this rube is the major cause of the mess you attempt to write about. Peter V was smart and left becasue he could see where the LAT is going under Zell, the rest of you should move on too because where you sit now wil soon be a condo project.

I sure do hope that house is big enough for him, his wife and their little dog that bites. I wouldn't want to be their mailman!

And I've heard that Bush's hobby ranch prop is on the market as a pocket listing.

Go to wikipedia and realtor .com this area makes 90210 look like pacoima!
