Sale of Ed McMahon's home falls through; Do you care?

September 3, 2008 | 12:05 pm

J2xmw5nc_3 News item: Jane Wells of CNBC reports that the sale of Ed McMahon's house to a mystery buyer who outbid Donald Trump has fallen through:

CNBC has learned that Ed McMahon's mansion has fallen out of escrow and is back on the market. The "Tonight Show" veteran, facing foreclosure, was trying to sell his home for $4.6 million, and two weeks ago he found an unnamed buyer.

ABCNews.com reported last week that the sale was in trouble:

An unidentified buyer outbid (Donald) Trump and was set to buy the house until Thursday night, when he "did not perform on a specific point of the contract," McMahon's Realtor, Alex Davis, told ABCNews.com today.

It was unfortunate what happen to Ed, I also grew up watching him on the Carson Show and on occasion I had waited patiently by my door in hopes that Ed would show up and pronounce me winner of the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes. What a beautiful house he has, though a bit eclectic for my tastes. I personally would have liked to see more pictures of the bathrooms. Being a bathroom connoisseur myself I love looking at marvelously designed bathrooms. Especially celebrity bathrooms because they can afford all the exciting new toys that turn their bathrooms into a home spa that any 5 star hotel would envy. If anybody has anymore pics of Eds bathrooms don't hesitate to pass them along my way.
