LA Land: Auction Bound Today

April 13, 2007 |  8:34 am

LOS ANGELES -- Aloha Friday and all that.

Curiosity got the better of LA Land this morning. My buddy Sean O'Toole of www.foreclosureradar.com sent me a list of today's foreclosure auctions in Los Angeles County and I can't resist. A total of 84 houses are scheduled to be auctioned today at a single auction in LA. Mindful of Sean's guidance -- that 90% of these houses won't sell and will be taken back by the bank or lender that originally wrote the mortgage -- I'm still curious. So I'm heading out to the day's big auction.

No, I'm not bidding on anything. Just blogging. Later today I'll tell you what happens when 84 houses go up for auction.
