J.K. Rowling isn’t writing another Harry Potter book -- is she? The mysterious website Pottermore, launched Thursday, seems to bear her signature. And the words ‘Pottermore,’ ‘coming soon’ and two owls.

Wait -- owls are messengers from Hogwarts, aren’t they?

They are -- and they’re not just at Pottermore, they’re all over J.K. Rowling’s Announcement page on YouTube, which reads, ‘The Owls are gathering... find out why soon.’ How soon? Six days, six hours and some minutes from now -- the YouTube page has a second-by-second countdown.

According to Digital Spy, the Pottermore website was discovered when 10 websites dedicated to Harry Potter were each given coordinates to a different letter from Pottermore, which pieced together the website’s address.

One of those sites, Mugglenet, advises fans that it doesn’t believe the website means there is an eighth Harry Potter book on the way. ‘Even though this is not a new book, we have been informed it is something equally exciting,’ it posted.

What could J.K. Rowling have up her sleeve? Interested fans can follow the Pottermore Twitter account. Since its first post 22 hours ago, more than 28,000 have.
