That there on the right isn’t either of the Fug Girls, Heather Cocks or Jessica Morgan, who have just written the young adult book ‘Spoiled’ -- it’s Brooklyn Decker. Decker, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl, also known as Mrs. Andy Roddick, appears here to demonstrate what the Fug Girls are known for on their fashion blog Go Fug Yourself.

When they saw her in this dress at the MTV movie awards, they wrote:

I don’t know about you, but I never would have picked Brooklyn Decker to be one to wake up one more and think, “I need to start dressing more like Liza Minnelli: The Later Years.”

For years, Morgan and Cocks have been riffing off the fashion faux pas of the the red carpet and paparazzi-ready set on the blog Go Fug Yourself. Sometimes they even give credit for well-made choices, but in the world of fashion, mistakes are just far, far more common.

In May, their talents took a different turn when they published their first book, the young adult novel ‘Spoiled.’ Our reviewer Susan Carpenter writes:

It’s fitting that the characters in a novel titled ‘Spoiled’ would be named Brie, Arugula and Brick, especially since the setting is Hollywood and its authors are professional celebrity skewerers Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan. The Fug Girls, as they’re known, write the laugh-out-loud fashion faux pas blog, Go Fug Yourself.... In a book dripping with sarcasm, ‘Spoiled’ charts the collision course of half sisters Molly Dix and Brooke Berlin, who hadn’t known of each other’s existence until Molly’s mother died and the two were forced to live together with their famous dad. Molly, it’s revealed, is the secret love child of action-star Brick Berlin, who’d had an affair during filming of his blockbuster ‘Rad Man.’ Brooke is Brick’s daughter from a failed marriage. Both girls are almost 16.

It’s a storyline that has echoes in recent news about former California governor and action star Arnold Schwarzenegger’s own secret love child. Perhaps more intentionally, the book pays close attention to real-world fashion.

Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan will be at Vroman’s signing ‘Spoiled’ on Saturday, at noon. It’s a rare chance to meet the Fug Girls. Dress carefully.
