On Tuesday, we put out a call for your favorite books about Los Angeles, and we were deluged with titles -- thanks for sharing your favorite books with us on Twitter and Facebook! Now you can vote for your favorite below to see it face off against other top vote getters next week.

We’ve also got polls going for your favorite nonfiction books and your favorites from the very popular authors who had multiple books on the list. The list below contains 48 other favorite books -- mostly novels, with a couple of poetry collections mixed in. What’s here is quite a range: the Runaways comic series, mysteries from Robert Crais, Bruce Wagner, Robert Mosley and Ross Macdonald, challenging novels by Mark Z. Danielewski and Kate Braverman, classics by F. Scott Fitzgerald and Nathanael West, Octavia E. Butler’s science fiction, poetry by Luis J. Rodriguez and the young adult fantasy book ‘Weetize Bat’ by Francesca Lia Block.
