Author Rachel Kushner, who was a surprise National Book Award finalist for her debut novel ‘Telex From Cuba,’ reads tonight at the Pasadena Museum of California Art at 7 p.m.

Kushner, who lives in Los Angeles, will appear as part of the museum’s Written in California series, and read from the novel that she’s currently writing. In an email, she wrote that her book is ‘in progress, but deep in progress.’
