No restrooms. Try Amazon.

If you've stepped into a closing Borders Books you might have seen a handwritten sign about the sales and get-it-now bargains. Maybe you've seen a sign or two that was printed there in the store. Did you see this one? "No Restrooms - Try Amazon."

It's among more than a dozen photos that Buzzfeed has gathered from around the Web (see them here). There are pictures of altered signage, exasperated jokes and wry humor:  empty bookshelves with the sign "FREE AIR GUITARS. Please take one!"

The bankruptcy of a massive bookstore isn't funny. Except when it is.

Sour grapes much?
Don't take it so personal, Borders.
If you had charged reasonable prices
instead of ripping people off, and maybe
stocked some books from Author's who are
independent thinkers instead
of bootlicker's of the dominant culture, you might still be around.
The books I wanted to buy were almost never carried by Border's
and if they were, I could always get them for half price at Amazon.
RIP Borders

David Smith, Well Said!! That's my exact sentiment. Besides, Borders drove out all the local bookstores, so why are they bitter? What goes around comes around. But still, if Borders valued its integrity as a bookstore (well stocked books), they would not be in this situation. All their coupons were not that great and there were a lot of strings attached. Even now, when they are trying to get rid of everything, the books are only 20-30% off! Good luck selling them.
