Galleycat comes to Los Angeles

Vacantparadise Publishing industry chronicler Galleycat is coming to L.A. I'm pretty sure they're coming to cover the L.A. Times Festival of Books, but while they're here, they're having a party. A book club party.

On Wednesday April 27, they're having the Book Club Party in Los Angeles. The event, which promises readings, minglings and cocktails, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica.

Galleycat has tapped four authors for the book club part of the book club party:

Victoria Patterson, whose novel "The Vacant Paradise" is set in her hometown, Newport Beach.

Denis Wood, whose "Everything Sings: Maps for a Narrative Atlas" is out from Siglio Press.

Judy Gruen, author of "Fits, Starts & Matters of the Heart: 28 True Stories of Love, Loss & Everything In Between."

Children's book author Joanne Rocklin with her latest, "One Day and One Amazing Morning on Orange Street."

Both Patterson and Wood will be appearing at the Festival of Books the following weekend.
