Dick Cavett and Mel Brooks to appear at Writers Bloc

November 18, 2010 | 10:20 am

Talk show host Dick Cavett, whose recent N.Y. Times columns have been collected in the new book "Talk Show," will come to the L.A. series Writers Bloc. Faced with finding someone to interview one of the 20th century's best interviewers, Writers Bloc has scored a coup: Mel Brooks.

With Brooks -- the creator of "The Producers," "Young Frankenstein," "Get Smart" and "Blazing Saddles" --  on stage, the conversation is guaranteed to take some unexpected, hilarious turns.

Cavett and Brooks will appear at Writers Bloc at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $23 and can be purchased online through Ticketweb.
