Pasadena literary fans can look forward to local ladies of literature in the coming weeks. Southern California chronicler Marisa Silver, center, will read on Jan. 28 at the Pasadena Museum of California Art at 7 p.m. The evening marks the second occasion of the museum’s Written in California series, which includes a discounted entry to the galleries starting at 6 p.m. In March, Altadena resident Michelle Huneven, left, will read at Written in California, from her latest novel ‘Blame.’

Marisa Silver is also set to appear with Nicole Mones, right, at the second annual Pasadena Literary Festival of Women Authors on Feb. 6, along with Reyna Grande and Claire LaZebnick. An early event that includes presentations, discussion and a catered luncheon, the Pasadena Women’s Literary Festival is held at the Pasadena Senior Center, which it benefits. Tickets are $75.
