Amy Sedaris draws a crowd at Book Soup’s booth

There was pandemonium at the Book Soup bookstore booth at the L.A. Times Festival of Books this afternoon when a swarm of readers surrounded the booth.

The reason? Amy Sedaris, the author of “I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence” and star of the movie “Strangers With Candy” was signing books for the independent L.A. bookstore.

The store will feature 19 authors total today. They’ve been signing since 11 a.m. and will continue until 5 p.m.

Book Soup will be hosting T.C. Boyle at 1 p.m. Sunday,

Oh, and are they selling a lot of books today? Yeah.
