To help us tiptoe through the tulips of spring book releases, we called on independent bookstores to tell us one upcoming book pick. They selected books that are sexy and moving and thrilling and bookish; the links below go to the booksellers’ recommendations.

Surprisingly, nobody chose a local author; I guess even those who stock the stores where we buy locally like to read globally.

We’d like to ask independent booksellers to help us out again with their thoughts. If you work at, own or patronize an independent bookstore that you think should participate, e-mail jacketcopyla [at] gmail.com and tell us the who/what/where.
