Martha Stewart is a cute mom

November 10, 2008 | 10:06 am

Martha Stewart visited Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena on Sunday to sign her latest book, "Martha Stewart's Cooking School: Lessons and Recipes for the Home Cook." People who had bought books in advance got a numbered place in line, queued up outside and waited their turn to be ushered in and upstairs. You might think with all the advance planning and detailed orchestration (care was even taken to get people with small children or disabilities to the front of the line) that Martha would have been stressed for time or curt with her fans. Not so!

In this video, after a fan tells Martha how much he loves her daughter Alexis' Sirius radio show, "Whatever With Alexis and Jennifer," Martha whips out her cellphone to call Alexis so he can tell her himself. "I'm just calling my daughter," she says to the other people in line; a shy voice responds, "I don't mind waiting."

Martha Stewart is scheduled to be at the Barnes & Noble at the Americana in Glendale at 11 a.m. today. If she does anything else cute on video, let us know at jacketcopyla [at] gmail.com .
