Beaotherpress

New York-based Other Press publishes novels and nonfiction, and their BEA booth featured upcoming work in both genres. Above, Other Press publisher Judith Gurewich poses with author Michael Greenberg; his book "Hurry Down Sunshine" -- a memoir of his daughter's struggle with mental illness -- is due in September. Gurewich says:

What has been really wonderful is that so many booksellers and revewiers have heard of "Hurry Down Sunshine" already -- and the galley just came out.

The name is actually spelled Gurewich, with an e. She is also my publisher and that novel, The Common Bond, is due out the first week of October.

I could not determine if my previous comment was sent or received.

The publisher of Other Press is Judith Gurewitch, with an e. She is also my publisher and my next book, "The Common Bond," with Other Press comes out the first week of October.

After previously publishing books with Coward - McCann, Random House, and Bantam, Other Press is a dream come true, a writer's fantasy about what a publishing house should be made real.
