West Adams: Elmer Rodriguez, 25

Elmer Rodriguez, a 25-year-old Latino, was stabbed and died Friday, Dec. 25, in the 5400 block of Blackwelder Street in West Adams, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Rodriguez was attending a backyard Christmas party when a fight broke out. Rodriguez attempted to intervene in the fight, and someone stabbed him several times, Winter said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:10 a.m., Winter said.
