East Los Angeles: Joseph Jones, 35

Joseph Jones, a 35-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Wednesday, Nov. 25, in the 4200 block of Olympic Boulevard in East Los Angeles, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Jones was the victim of a walk-up shooting. He was approached by someone who shot him in the head and back about 4:27 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene 10 minutes later, Winter said.
