Ramiro Limon Jr., a 27-year-old Latino, was shot and killed Sunday, Nov. 1, in the 1300 block of West Roxbury Street in West Covina, authorities said.

Limon was killed when a Halloween party turned deadly. One of four people involved in a fight at the party went to a car to get a handgun about 12:50 a.m., witnesses told police. They saw a man getting a gun from a dark-colored car parked near the party at the intersection of West Roxbury Street and South Shadydale Avenue. That was just moments before the shooting, said West Covina Police Cpl. Rudy Lopez.

Limon was struck in the upper torso and died at the scene, Lopez said. A 40-year-old man was wounded in the wrist and was treated at a local hospital.

The gunman fled in the dark-colored car, which was driven away by a woman, Lopez said.

He asked anyone with information to call detectives at (626) 939-8557 or the anonymous hotline at (626) 939-8688.
