Unincorporated Los Angeles County: Dalton Rahman, 18

Dalton Rahman, an 18-year-old white man, was shot and killed by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies on Thursday, Nov. 5, in the 17000 block of Orkney Street in unincorporated Los Angeles County, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 8:30 p.m., after a car chase in the unincorporated section of Azusa, a city of about 45,000 east of L.A. in the San Gabriel Valley, according to a statement from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect crashed the car and fled to the backyard of a house on Orkney, according to the statement. A police dog went after the suspect.

When deputies got the suspect to the ground, he grabbed one of the deputies’ guns and fired several rounds, according to the statement.

No deputies were injured.

The suspect was shot several times by another deputy and was pronounced dead at the scene.
