Long Beach: Esaul Villagrana, 23

Esaul Villagrana, a 23-year-old white man, was shot and killed Monday, Oct. 26, in front of 20th Street and Cedar Avenue in Long Beach, authorities said.

According to a Long Beach police news release, Villagrana was driving down the street about 7:20 p.m. when he stopped his car and got out. Someone standing nearby shot him.

Villagrana was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 8:10 p.m. Detectives said the killing could be gang-related.
