Downey: Joaquin Madrigal, 20

Joaquin Madrigal, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot several times and died Tuesday, Sept. 1, in the 8900 block of Priscilla Street in Downey, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s officials.

Witnesses told police someone drove up and got out of their car, fired several shots Madrigal, then drove off, said Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner’s office.

Police received a shots-fired call at about 1:13 a.m., and responding paramedics pronounced Madrigal dead at the scene, Winter said.
