UCI graduate charged in shooting death of ex-wife
A graduate student at UC Irvine appeared in court this afternoon for a scheduled arraignment on charges of shooting and killing his ex-wife outside his campus apartment because of a custody dispute over their 4-year-old son.

Man fatally shot by L.A. County sheriff’s deputies in Athens
L.A. County sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a man in unincorporated Athens when they thought he was reaching into his waistband for a weapon, a spokesman said today.
