Homicides: July 27 - August 3

The Los Angeles County coroner's office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides. The Times will report more details this week:
Lucio Rodarte, a 40-year-old Latino, on July 27. Rodarte was shot in an alley north of Alondra Boulevard between Lime Avenue and Frailey Avenue in East Rancho Dominguez.
Roberto Alvarado, an 18-year-old Latino, on July 28. Alvarado was shot in the 9800 block of Stanford Street in South Gate.
Wilber Panameno, a 21-year-old white man, on July 29. Panameno was shot in the 5200 block of St. Andrews Place in the Vermont Square area of South Los Angeles.
Jamil Lyles, a 17-year-old black teenager, on July 29. Lyles was shot in the 13100 South Broadway in unincorporated Los Angeles.
Luis Pierson, a 42-year-old Latino, on July 30. Pierson died from blunt force trauma suffered at the intersection of West 104th Street and Firmona Avenue in Lennox.
Anthony Huerta, a 25-year-old- Latino, on July 30. Huerta was shot in the 15100 block of Lime Avenue in Compton
Antonio Arenas, a 35-year-old Latino, on July 31. Arenas was shot at the intersection of San Fernando Road and Cobalt Street in Sylmar.
Santiago Morales, a 23-year-old Latino, on July 31. Morales was shot in the 200 block of West 76th Street in Florence.
Juan Espinoza, 19-year-old Latino, on July 31. Espinoza was shot at the intersection of Friar Street and Vesper Avenue in Van Nuys.
Robert Burrus, a 67-year-old black man, on August 1. Burrus was stabbed at the intersection of 6th Street and Fremont Street in downtown Los Angeles.
Guillermo Vargas, a 32-year-old Latino, on August 1. Vargas was shot in the 8400 block of South Main Street in Florence.
Howard Gross, a 57-year-old white man, on August 1. Gross was shot in the 9200 block of Ramona Boulevard in Rosemead.
Martha Cruz, an 18-year-old Latina, on August 1. Cruz was shot in the 2900 block of South Normandie Avenue in Adams-Normandie.
Anthony Olmos, a 25-year-old Latino, on August 2. Olmos was shot in 900 block of North Brannick Avenue in City Terrace.
Francisco Cornelio, a 23-year-old Latino, on August 2. Cornelio was shot in the 1000 block of East 42nd Street in Historic South-Central.
Jesse McWayne, a 19-year-old black man, on August 2. McWayne was shot in the 1700 block of East 59th Street in the Harvard Park area of South Los Angeles.
Roy Sutherland, a 48-year-old black man, on August 2.  Sutherland was stabbed in 3500 block of South Western Avenue in Exposition Park.
Leonardo Benitez, a 18-year-old Latino, on August 2. Benitez was shot in the 1100 block of Hoffman Avenue in Long Beach.
Torie Anderson, a 32-year-old white woman, on August 3. Anderson was found dead inside a residence in the 2400 block of 227th Street in Torrance.  The circumstances surrounding her death are still being investigated.
Jeremy Burrell, a 17-year-old black teenager, on August 3.  Burrell was shot at the intersection of 63rd Street and Victoria Avenue in Hyde Park.
Giovanni Perez, a 20-year-old Latino, on August 3. Perez was shot in the 7300 block of Lennox Avenue in Van Nuys.
Reginald Paris, a 56-year-old black man, on August 3. Paris was stabbed in 10700 block of South Figueroa Street in the Vermont Vista area of South Los Angeles.
