Chesterfield Square: Juan Johnson, 42

The location of Juan Johnson's killing. Click for demographic information about this area. Juan Johnson, a 42-year-old black man, was shot several times and died Sunday, Aug. 16. He was shot at the intersection of 60th Street and St. Andrews Place in Chesterfield Square, according to Los Angeles County coroner's officials.

Ed Winter, a spokesman for the coroner's office, said the shooting occurred at a gathering of car club members at 9:50 p.m. Johnson was taken to a hospital, where he died at 10:37 p.m., Winter said.
