Michael Allen, a 29-year-old black man, was shot several times and was discovered wrapped in bedding in the passenger seat of a car July 17 in the 1000 block of West 60th Street in Vermont-Slauson.
Officers found Allen in the car after receiving a call about a suspicious vehicle at 5:20 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Allen died of his wounds. Police have no motive or description of the suspect.
