Juan Carrera, a 36-year-old Latino, was shot several times in his left shoulder and left wrist and died on June 27 in the 9400 block of Slauson Avenue in Pico Rivera, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Carrera was shot when a gunman opened fire into a crowd gathered in a restaurant parking lot for a motorcycle club fundraiser, authorities said.

Two other men, Anthony Dandini, 39, and Garret Dandini, 25, were also killed in the incident, according to the coroner’s office. Seven other people were injured in the shooting, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 6:45 p.m. at Falcone’s Pizza. Sheriff’s deputies found the bodies of two adults near the restaurant’s front door and a third in an alley near the restaurant.

Richard Hayes, 48, of Pico Rivera, said he was on his way to a party held by the Old School motorcycle club at the restaurant and heard about a dozen shots while he was trying to park his car. He added that he thought the victims might be members of the club.

Motorcycles were parked all around the restaurant Saturday night. After the shooting, sheriff’s deputies blocked off portions of Slauson near Falcone’s and placed tents over the bodies.
