Homicides: June 22 - June 29
The Los Angeles County coroner's office has confirmed the following deaths as homicides. The Times will report more details later this week:
Lamar Carter, a 19-year-old black man, on June 22. Carter was shot at the intersection of 94th Street and Central Avenue in Green Meadows.
Gerardo Cruz, a 30-year-old Latino, on June 24. Cruz was shot in the 13000 block of Weidner Street in Pacoima.
Joaquin Rodriguez, 21-year-old Latino on June 26. Rodriguez was stabbed in the 18600 block of Frankfort Street in Northridge.
Crystal Zaldivar, a 17-year-old Latina on June 26. Zaldivar was stabbed in the 7000 block of Whitsett Avenue in Valley Glen.
Jessie Jackson, a 18-year-old black man on June 26. Jackson was shot in 1700 block of West 55th Street in Harvard Park.
Paolo Centeno, a 19-year-old Latino on June 27. Centeno was shot in the 5900 block of Northside Drive in East Los Angeles.
Benjamin Castro, a 17-year-old Latino on June 27. Castro was shot in the 600 block of East Lime Street in Azusa.
Anthony Dandini, a 39-year-old white man on June 27. Dandini was shot in the 9400 block of Slauson Avenue in Pico Rivera.
Garret Dandini, a 25-year-old white man on June 27. Dandini was shot in the 9400 block of Slauson Avenue in Pico Rivera.
Juan Carrera, 36-year-old Latino on June 27. Carrera was shot in the 9400 block of Slauson Avenue in Pico Rivera.
Gervon Jackson, a 20-year-old black man on June 28. Jackson was shot in the 2600 block of 79th Street in Inglewood.
Jose Carabantes, a 36-year-old Latino on June 28. Carabantes was shot in the 13200 block of Bromwich Street in Arleta.
