Ara Terunyan, a 35-year-old white man, was shot in the head and died on July 22. Terunyan was shot in the 300 block of West Colorado Boulevard in Glendale, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

Terunyan was sitting inside his sport utility vehicle across the street from the Glendale Galleria about 11 a.m. when a gunman walked up to the driver’s side window and fired several shots inside, Glendale police said.

Police are still searching for the gunman. Detectives had only a vague description of him and no motive.

“It doesn’t appear random, but we’re unsure if it’s business or domestic related,” said Sgt. Tom Lorenz of the Glendale Police Department.
