Rodolfo Hernandez Rivas, a 24-year-old Latino, was shot and died on July 9 in the 5000 block of Henderson Street in El Sereno, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Craig Harvey, a spokesman for the coroner’s office, said Rivas went to the location on Henderson Street to look at a car that was for sale. The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown, but police received reports of shots fired about 8:56 p.m. and Rivas was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:08 p.m., Harvey said.
