Steve Moore, a 39-year-old black man, was stabbed in the chest in the 4700 block of South Hooper Avenue in Central-Alameda at 1:51 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2. He died in the hospital the same day at 2:25 p.m., according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
John Jordan, a 54-year-old black man, has been charged in Moore's death as well as "assault by means likely to produce great bodily injury," according to the Los Angeles County district attorney's office.
Moore and Jordan allegedly got into an argument which escalated from the men exchanging blows to the stabbing, officials said.

Steve's death is sensless & the thief that stole his life is a coward. Vengeance is the Lord's. I spoke to Steve for 2 hours on the morning of his demise. Steve was tired of the world's hatred, and Steve, "miss the good feeling of earning a paycheck". I love you Steve. You don't have to worry about a thing. God will reward you. God rest your soul.

Fortunately, Steve has a family who loves him unconditionally, with 2 hard working parents who were very supportive. Steve, was his mother's only child & she raised him in church. Like many, Steve, was a victim of his environment. John Jordan, I pray the Lord give you understanding of all the lives adversly affected by your actions. Jordan, you obviously have no value for life and you allowed pride to dominate humility. Steve was a father, husband, son, nephew, uncle, cousin & friend. Steve's death is a horrific loss.
