Hollywood: Woman, 69, stabbed in her home

Erika Scarano, a 69-year-old white woman, was stabbed in her Hollywood home in the 1300 block of North Genesee Avenue on Sunday, March 29, according to the authorities.

She was found in the afternoon in grave condition and died at a hospital.

Her estranged son, Christopher Francis Scarano, 19, was arrested April 3 and has been charged with his mother’s murder. He is being held in county jail on $1-million bond and is scheduled to be in court May 28 for a preliminary hearing.
