Cudahy: Man, 20, dies in drive-by shooting

Briseno, Jose AntonioJose Briseno, a 20-year-old Latino, was shot several times in the 4800 block of Elizabeth Street in Cudahy on Friday, March 27, 2009, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

Briseno was standing on a sidewalk shortly after 4:40 p.m. when he fired a shot at a minivan as it drove past, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's officials. Someone in the minivan fired back at Briseno, striking him in the upper torso, officials said.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department homicide bureau at (323) 890-5500.

If he was carrying a gun and fired it, it meant he was a violent crminal.

Noone is crying over his loss, except the taxpayers who have to pay for the investigation.

Hes another example of why these neighborhoods are dysfunctional and need to be razed.
