Paramount: Woman, 30, dies nearly a year after shooting

Rosemarie Avalos, a 30-year-old Latina, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, almost a year a year after she was shot in the neck in the 8300 block of Elburg Street in Paramount, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
Avalos was shot in the back of the neck while sitting in a parked car in March 2008, according to the Sheriff’s Department.
