I live in this surrounding area and it is very high in crime with drive-by shootings, drugs sales and addicts/alcoholics roaming the nieghborhood all hours of the nights. The police patrol this area quiet a bit and can't help but see the activity that goes on. I know of a young lady that her husband was murdered at this same store some 4-5 years ago simply doing his job there. She was his wife and they had a young son together that no longeer is able to see his dad leaving her alone to raise him on a memoryof his father. This is also the area where Jamal Shaw lost his life, an aspiring young teenage afro american who was offered scholorships to several colleges, who had goals and ambitions for himself. The community has nice homes and apartments complexes around, it's just this small area that projects a bad image and the citizens need to become involved in reportring crimes and wanting to clean up their nieghborhood for the sake of the children who attend the 3 local elementary schools in the area and for the senoirs that live there as well. To the family God bless you and whom ever did such an act will be apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest.
