As an Indian, I pray for all the souls who died in horror.
There is no replacement of the gift of life. With all the
worldly misfortune, evil friends and declining economical condition, it is very imoprtent to sacrifice every worldly
pleasures and save the precious souls.Sometimes Indian
people in India are too proud of their worldly wealth and belongings. If this gunman learnt to sacrifice everything and protect and save his own children and wife he could have won everything .It is a lesson to all who go through this type thoughts when we go through financial difficulty

I'll go way out on a limb here and guess that there is a subprime mortgage at the bottom of this mess.

How tragic. That man had no right to take the life of his family members. If he is deciding between two options - one to commit suicide and one a murder suicide, and the man deduces that either has any degree of honor related to it, then the man was completely delusional. There is no honor. There is only a terrible, terrible selfishness in his act.

This is a tragic triumph of fear over faith. Let's pray others facing financial crisis find strength and hope to live for another day.

I've often wondered how these types of homicides happen and why doesn't one get away to prevent this from going on harming other family members. It's very heart wrenching, because of the break down in the economy People have become depressed being unable to support their family, make ends meat and the financial burden of those losing their homes. For sure we must first blame our president for taking money from the United States and supporting this war and still no capture of a Bin Ladin. Freedie and Fannie didn't do this alone the goverment played a major part in the stealing of our money.Crime are going to go up, robberies, murders and other crimes because of our economy. Gas so high I don't know how they will be able to commit such but ladies hold onto your purses, food is prices is going up the stores will keep the old stuff out and continue to sell it, hospitals keep your doors open, marijauna clinic are being roobed that the dope man better run when he sees a smoker coming. Our country is falling apart and we have the nerve to even think of putting a soccer mom in office she need to get a job at Big 5 and call it a day.People we must come to our own resolution on defeating this depression like clipping coupons, less meals out, and carpooling, but crimes and murder is not the answer. Just think of our United anthym it applies to all of ue.

I'm just guessing, but an article mentioned that the family did not own the home they were found in... I'm guessing that this happened a little while after the unemployment benefits along with his savings ran out... observing the type of house he rented and the luxury cars/ suvs outside, maybe the man hid the financial difficulites all along and was planning to fix the problem without telling his family... and when he realized that that was not going to happen soon, he felt that the shame of having to explain to friends and family about their financial situation., i.e., what happened to your lexus? why are you moving out of here to go where? why?... this is not to say that what he did is honorable... just that in this crazy world where materialism and possessions define who we are and what type of treatment we get, this tragedy is a reflection of not only this man's unstable mindset, but of our own society... welfare for wall street, but not a %$^&*& penny for the poor...

Well, this is truly a case of anger, frustration, and false ego (not self pride) taking over a man who enjoyed, probably, wealth for quite sometime. What a madness -- killing his own children. Is there still anybody who thinks this man is better than many of the criminals serving sentences in prisons. All the time he was living among the wealthy neighbourhoods but developing criminal tendencies. What an ignorane -- Even Osama Bin Laden did not kill his own children.
This case and several other such cases emphasise again and again the importance of worship and faith in GOD.
It is extremely important that people spend considerable amount of time in prayer and worship of GOD, in any form it is. When you are praying GOD, understand that HE is almighty, so be humble and worship GOD with complete humility, after all, it is HE who created all of us. Don't show off your position or wealth infront of GOD. Many of the wealthy Indians have this false ego of showing their position in front of GOD also.
Instead of wondering what went to wrong, I take a good lesson out of it that Worshipping GOD in a prayerful form humbly is much much better than any of the position that one attains. Atleast it won't develop false ego or ignorance to such an extent of destroying self.
I pity the family. May GOD keep their souls at peace.
