Gonzales worked at the bar as a doorman, said Deputy Denise Fuchs of the L.A. County Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau. She said a patron at the bar lured Gonzales outside of the bar, then shot him several times. Gonzales was hit several times in the upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The gunman was described as Latino man, Fuchs said. She said there were no further details about the gunman or a motive for the shooting.
Anyone with information about the shooting can call sheriff's homicide detectives at (323) 890-5500.

Another death in the city of Compton. I am tired of hearing about people getting killed in my city. I want a change. The city should start doing something about it. Also, we the residents should report any vandalism and suspicious activities in our streets, even if the authorities always tend to take there sweet time to get at the crime scene. This bar should be closed.

As a former resident of Compton I believe there should be an anonymous website that let residents email police about information about cases or gang hot spots, this way resident don’t have to fear gang retaliations, and informs police on what going on in the city. Compton is a cit with lots of potential, we just need some resources to make it happen.

There been violence in Compton for years and years. I don't know if the Sheriff's Dept is doing any better than when Compton had its on police force. Was this a legitamate bar with an liquor and business license or a dive. I think the city leadership could do more. Me personally, I would not go to a bar in Compton. To many bandits and wantabe Scarfaces.

Change .... you will have the chance this November on election day to change things.
Things to ponder on:
Just what have my currently elected officials (local, county, state and federal) done to improve things for business, education and quality of life issues.
