Snatchog, hey no problem. I know the frustration you feel though. I hate it too when people drop the race card even when someone is trying to make a valid point. People need to quit letting their sons dress like gangsters and run around at all hours of the night. They have to teach their kids to respect the law and be better decision makers.
I think that we are both concerned citizens, we need more people on our team. God bless.

I'm sorry Tony2, I definitely misjudged you and I'm sorry for that.

It seems as if all the killers and victims are blacks and Mexicans. The safest thing seems to be to keep your kids in late at night. It shouldn't have to be that way but with so many animals loose, it is a survival strategy.

whats a 16 year old doin out at almost midnight?
do you parents monitor your children??

First and foremost a large part of our communities black and Latino seems as if they are just giving up.We as individuals must take responsibility for ourselves. We ,black and brown are doing a horrible job when comes to race relations between us.What is even worse we kill ourselves. We destroy our own communities by tagging, leaving trash, selling drugs, and killings. Then thats all done we blame white people. They are not sneaking in the neighborhoods at night destroying it,it is us.Until we come to grips with this we will constantly be in this situation. You cant always blame others you have to take along stare in the mirror and check yourself.

Menace? Really? Then we wonder why "innocent" kids get shot, if they go by the name of menace...... I live in lynwood. and it is just horrifying to see all the tagging in this streets. It is ghetto.... I cant wait to get out of here.

Snatchog, I am not blaming city or state officials for the crime committed, I am saying that they seem to show no concern. The safety of their citizens should be one of their main objectives. I would never side with the criminals, I am ex-Navy and I love my country very much. I served it with pride. Now as far as these kids wanting to be gangsters, this shows a breakdown in family values. The parents need to explain to their children that all of the crap that rappers put out about killing and selling drugs is to sell records, and that they don't care at all about the negative impact that they have on millions of children. Why would I call you a racist? I don't even know you. And what do you mean people like me?

Tony2, your blaming of city officials is a typical response of someone who is suffering from a distorted sense of reality. I think the blame would be better placed on the "boyz in the hood" who commit these crimes. These guys want to be gangsters and admire the madness and mayhem they cause. I ask you how you come up with the ridiculous idea that city officials and police are to blame.? I wonder whose side you are on, the ones doing the crime or the city officials trying to prevent it. Oh, and go ahead and call me a racist as that word holds no weight with me, it means nothing when people like you call me that.

daum menace.its so hard to beleive ur gone.daum so many people miss you.well in a ways at least ur in a better place.but thats some cold ass shyt wat that person did to you.
RIP RAYMOND <3

Courtney is right on. When a latino walks up to you and says "where you from", it's a death sentance. The best word to describe these guys is ANIMALS. Uncivilized barbarioans, that is what they are! It is hard to comprehend why the death penalty is not used on these guys.

It would seem that the only appropriate answer to the question "Where you from?" is gunfire. They always ask that right before they shoot and kill their victims. Nobody ever asks that question and walks away satisfied with a verbal response. Even if you say, "Nowhere, I don't gangbang" they are not likely to let it go at that. If I ever get asked that question by a gangbanger, you'll very likely read about it here in The Homicide Report- and so will I. Enough already!

Thats right tony2......Somebody just smoked a Long Beach latino youth in ground zero territory of the westside longo gang and not even a peep from the council people, mayor, or police cheif. He was 18, the kid who got killed and a 17 year old was shot but he is gonna live......Long Beach Police must got an agreement with the media.....wait almost a week before you tell whats really goin down -if you do it at all. MOST of LA county is not patrolled right by the police........check out the Westside Long Graffiti on PCH and Harbor right next the 710,,,even the Latino buisness owner must agree to the tall as a man lettering of the WSL ck 19st that been on the wall . and the police substation is right around the coroner....but the graffiti is warning blacks to stay away, and its greeting thousands of buisness people and workers or jus visitors everyday....youd think a compentant city worker or police who drive past there would call it in but it is up for over 2 weeks......it was a challenge to enter the wsl territory and like me...somebody was offended and the difference is he had a gun and a grudge for the wsl

This is just sickening. What is wrong with your city and state leaders? There are children being murdered on the streets every week and they seem to not even notice. They seem to be more worried about restaurants putting calorie counts on menus than the slaughter of children.
This should be nation wide news.
God bless the children growing up around all of this senseless violence
